New designs are alway being added to my collection.

A new year starts with fresh ideas and plans.

Happy New year to all.
I hope 2016 is a wonderful year for you.
2015 had it's ups and downs for us like everyone else has but one of my biggest achievements was teaching myself how to silver solder. I love designing and making new pieces of jewellery and when someone is prepared to hand over there hard earned cash, it really makes me blows my mind. Not the till being opened but the fact that someone likes my work enough to buy a piece or two.
Thank you to all my readers and followers on the social media, without you I would not be able to follow my passion.
And if you have not seen some of my latest designs, here are just a few for you.

Once again thank you.
Kindest regards
Steve :-)

New Tree of Life and Owl pendants

These two pendants flew out of the door quicker than they came out of the kiln. They measure about 35mm across and are set of silver plated bails and stainless steel chain.
Gold tree of life pendantSilver Owl Pendant

The Tree of Life pendant has, as you can see a beautiful dichroic green glass base with 22ct gold image fired into the top glass. The Owl has a more multi-coloured dichroic glass base and is also fired into the top glass.
I saw the Tree of Life pendant worn at the weekend, it looked stunning, catching the sunshine on both the dichroic glass and the gold. If only I could make the picture look as good.
I will definitely  be making a few more of these designs in the future. If you would like to see other designs I make then please take a look at my website
and my facebook page
Thanks for stopping by and hope you come back soon.

Entwined Tree of Life Pendant. NOW SOLD.

The concept of the tree of life has been used in
science, religion, philosophy and mythology.
It's a common motif in various theologies, mythologies and philosophies.
Alluding to the interactions of all life in many culture.
A sacred tree, adored by many and ever lasting in the thoughts of
people throughout the world.

I love make all my jewellery
but the one that really floats my boat is the
Tree of Life Pendants.
I find this such a powerful symbol and when two are entwined it's even better.
This pendant was made using top quality green glass and the image fired into the
surface of the pendant. The symbology carried this colour glass really well, in my opinion.

To order (£15 plus £2 p&p)   Now sold. please contact me via email at

A Dremel, some Dichroic glass and inspiration is all you need! Part 2, completed pendants. ow yes, plus a kiln.

Yeayyyy! Result. I fired the hand engraved pieces of dichroic glass and attached the bails. I, and many others think they are stunning. One has already gone and the others will not be long to go. Due to the time and hand engraving of these, the price is £25 but I will throw in the UK postage and packing for free. If posted outside the UK, there will be a charge of £4.

I am looking into more designs all the time and will be doing this hand engraving again. I just love it :o)

A Dremel, some Dichroic glass and inspiration is all you need! Part 1

A Dremel, some Dichroic glass and inspiration is all you need!

Inspiration usually comes first and that was the case this time. I had the idea of instead of adding extra glass to glass for affect I decided to take it away. They say less is more, LOL.
So out came my trusty Dremel with diamond bit in and I started grinding away the expensive Dichroic layers. These are what I came up with, I started on these designs because I have a camp the end of this month that I think these might go down really well.

Five hand cut and hand ground dichroic glass pendants complete with top glass, waiting to be fired. I just cant wait to see how these turn out.

Here is a previous one I did, completely finished and sold. The is a little distortion to the edge of the Dichroic but I think that adds to the handmade look.

Fashion Jewellery, Earrings, Bracelets, Rings, Hair Clips and Pendants at Darlington Sunday Peoples Market

For all my readers that have not had chance to visit me at The Darlington Sunday Peoples Market.
To start with this first picture shows a collection of new designs and creations of Rings and Bracelets.
The following pictures show off my design to the best of my photographic ability.
I am always trying to show off my work to there best but I often cannot find display stands that I like or that I can afford. So the bracelet display is another creation of mine (being a ex worker, I enjoy doing things like this). All it took was a few scraps of MDF a bit of paint and my imagination to see the end product from a pile of unwanted bits and pieces.
This next picture shows the new large cabochon design Rings. They look great on another hand made bits of scrap Ring display stand. A couple of bits of perspex and a off cut of MDF plus some paint again and a bit of time and imagination again and there you go. A very cheap Ring stand to my requirements.
Here is a collected view of Rings, Hair Clips and a few Bracelets.
And finally, me! The creator! I love making making almost anything especially when someone else like what I have made.
And that was just a snippet of time at this lovely street market in Darlington on the first Sunday of every month, yes even the winter months.
If you decide to visit in the winter months wear thermals. lol. It's a great day any time of the year. Great atmosphere, lovely people and unique goods to get for yourself a friend or a loved one.
Hope to see you there and if you have read this and decided to make a visit, why not introduce yourself and say you follow my blog.
Anyway, that's about it for now.
Thanks for stopping by.
Steve :o)
